We took this boat to Key West from Fort Myers. It took over 3 hours each way and we hit some rough waters. But I loved it. There is indoor and outdoor seating - stay outdoors if you can. Plenty of bathrooms and a bar.More

Wonderful to know you loved it! The ride averages between 3.5 and 4 hours and a day trip permits approximately 4.5 to 5 hours on the island. Of course there is always the option to spend a night....or several! Thank you for sharing your comments....More

It was a beautiful evening, enjoyable trip. Water wasn't rough but there were many swells so if you get sea sick have some thing on hand to take just in case.

The Key West Express sure beats driving, however..... it is a long day if you go in the morning and return that night. You don't have much time to spend (like only 4 hours). It would be better to stay overnight but the prices of...More

We agree it certainly beats the drive. Regarding luggage, we strictly prohibit the use of seats for storage of any personal belongings. It is surprising to hear the crew did not insist on removal. If they are unaware we encourage guests to bring to their...More

I enjoyed the trip to Key West I thought it was a little too long on the boat both going and coming home. The length of stay in Key West was too short also. It ended up being a long 12 hour day of traveling!More

Due to rough waters, we had to go further out and what is usually a 2 1/2 hr ride, took 4 hours. The trip, on a calm day, is great!

Regrettably we cannot control sea conditions however the trip averages between 3.5 and 4 hours which allows guest between 4.5 and 5 hours on the island. Spending a night or two can be a great option for those with schedules permitting!

Yes, be sure to book ahead both departure and return dates in order to ensure seating availability. There happens to be a special event in Key West at that time therefore early booking may be a good idea.

Visit our website and select places to stay. The Sheraton permits children and we do believe they offer shuttle service.
