Put my pontoon boat in at the Riverhaven Marina, there was a $10 fee. I took 7 of my family members with me for a day long cruse. First we went up to the head waters which were closed. The manatees were mostly gone by now, but we did manage to see two. The river is very clear and clean.... More

The Homosassa River is one of sentence rivers in Citrus County. Loved by locals and not well known to Florida tourists. Life along this river is reminiscent of life in Old Florida. It is certainly worth a day trip on the river, then visiting Old Homosassa, and Floral City - all hidden treasures in Citrus County, Florida

The Homosassa river is full of many species of birds and is peaceful and beautiful. Manatees can be found in this river as well.

We had a great day exploring the park. They had a hippo who resides there from a zoo that was closed years ago. He's pretty spoiled. They had many different kinds of birds as well Boat and train ride were included. Nice family park

It was an enjoyable trip, but can be quite congested on weekends. Saw many manatee, more going in and out of the channel to the river, than at the Springs. We also rented a pontoon boat for a day and... More

We love Homosassa River as we always have a wonderful time snorkeling with the manatees there, and then having drinks/dinner at the Monkey Bar, watching the monkeys frolic on Monkey Island! "Old Florida" at its laid-back best!

Love this river. Put our kayaks in and just roamed around looking at all the different homes and wildlife, manatee and loads of fish.

Great day spent on the river with Captain Wyn on the Blue Heaven tour boat., watching the manatees. We also saw monkeys on Monkey Island and 3 playful dolphins. Thank you for a great 3 hour tour.
