This was a nice addition to our laid back vacation in the Crystal River area. The free boat tour from the main entrance was nice, relaxing and informative. The park was just the right size with plenty of happy animals to view. The underwater manatee viewing is a must!

The Park has an unassuming frontage, but once you get inside and take the boat or tram, you are at once transported into the Old Florida. The boat or tram operator will educate and inspire you on your short trip to the other side of the Park. Once you get there, you will see all sorts of native wildlife and... More

We were driving back to SW Florida and came through the springs area north of Tampa. We just had a couple of hours to spend and my friends really wanted to see a manatee. We tried figuring our Crystal River and it seemed the only way to see manatees was to take a long boat tour. Instead, we went a... More

First off, there are two places you can park to get into the park. First is the main entrance from Suncoast Blvd, where you park and can take the boat and/or tram to and from the park itself. If you would prefer to park closer, you can go over to Fishbowl Drive and walk across the street to the park... More

Hadn't been here in many years, it is very nice. just follow the trails along very nice animal enclosures. It is mostly birds but also has a hippo, bear, panther, alligators and of course manatees. The underwater viewing area is great to see the fish. Two people can get in free with your florida state park pass.

This attraction has been around for so many decades and has gone through private ownership till the State took it over back in the 90's. It was always wonderful but has only gotten better. We have in past years (we have visited it over the past 32 years) purchased their annual passes so we could drop in when the mood... More

13$ a person, and well worth more. Get there early, before the heat and animals hide. Live in Florida, but learned so much. The Manatees are here, along with lots of birds. Great place, thanks State of Florida.

Park was very enjoyable from beginning to end. The guides were very entertaining and knowledgeable. We had a frog on our boat ride in that did not please the child whose stroller top he visited but everybody else liked. Finding some of the animals in their habitats was a where's Waldo. But with help from other visitors we saw them... More

We visited the Crystal Lake area and wanted to find something to do, when we saw the listing for Homosassa we figured we'd give it a try. SO glad we did. You start off on a 15 minute boat ride down a creek with wildlife and a tour guide. When you get to the park you pay. It seemed a... More

Very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed the pontoon boat ride. Got to see a lot of wild animals on the boat ride: birds, alligators and turtles. The park has a trail the has many Florida native animals. The only negative thing there were yellow flies. We were bitten several times, so if you go wear long pants.
