Hiked here recently and it was a great wild space. Saw a snake on the trail and many birds including an eagle. However the alternate Marsh part of the trail loop was all underwater, and unlike other wet hikes I have done the dense reeds made visibility difficult and the whole slog a bit nerve wracking. The scenery on the... More

About five miles out of Immokalee is a very well maintained park just perfect for a couple hour stroll. My suggestion is to wear water socks our sandals that you won't mind getting wet. Not sure if it's this time of the year or just unusual weather conditions, but we were up to our knees in the marsh part of... More

We went to Corkscrew earlier in the week and only saw a few different birds.Wanted to try something that was the wilderness of Florida. This was it.Saw countless number of birds and three alligators. One 7 ft alligator was lying in the middle of the path and we had to walk around it.A little nerve wracking. This is a place that I would... This hike was a bit wet - about 45 feet of the Wild Coffee Trail was under about 2 foot of water. We removed our shoes and just went for it! We are adventurous! We added onto this hike the Caracara Preserve. Again, the marsh was water (the trail signed warned us!) for about 100 feet or more. Again, shoes... More

Nice wide trails. Maps available at entry. Clear trail signs. Nice Lookout platform. Free entry, plenty of parking. Great hike. The only wildlife we saw was a black racer. Signs at the entrance recommend bringing bear spray.

Beautiful wildflowers, swampy marsh, lush tropical plants. It's perfect for those who want an easy, scenic walk and excellent for all ages. We took our three kiddos on this 5.5 mile hike and had a lot of fun. There were some pretty interesting insects along the trail. Our kiddos were scared at first, but by the end of the walk... More

Loved the natural environment of the CREW Bird Rookery trail, wish I had more time to explore it all. Saw lots of wildlife including a large alligator on the trail we had to walk around and a beautiful bobcat who turned around and seemed to pose for me to take a picture. It was a beautiful area.

The GPS told us we had arrived at 4600 Corkscrew Rd but this was Gate 2 - and it was locked! We continued another mile up the road and came across the main entrance. The trails are clearly marked, and there is a self guided interpretive guide to take you through the slash pine forest, "down" through the live oak... More

We have been to CREW Marsh Trails several times over the last few years, seeking alternatives to our tried and tested wild walks in the wider Fort Myers area. We like the open nature of this small set of linked trails, without boardwalk for the most part. The grassy trails can be boggy in the rainy season (June-November), so either... More
