This was a typical beach you find along the coast with good sand expanses and fairly murky grey water. This beach allows cars to drive on the sand which is a little off. There are much better beaches around.

Interesting, allowing cars on the beach... not a fan of that. Somehow people on blankets and cars don't mix. Consequently, not a beach I would recommend.

With Hang Glide USA the sky is your limit. A Flight with Captain Kent is the best way to take in Amelia. Let Chelsea hook up with a nonstop trip to cloud 9! Wed-Fri 8-11am and late afternoon upon request!

This beach is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It's very beautiful. We visited the weekend before Irma. The water was warm and the waves were hugh.

I was thrilled to catch the beautiful views of the Atlantic from the shores of Fernandina Beach. The sand is clean, the people are friendly. I didn't, however see a lifeguard.
