This is in a shallow reef. Easy for snorkelers. Has been covered with fire coral for several years. So if you want a religious experience, go give it a kiss or a hug! (Just kidding -please don't do that)

I have heard about the Christ of the Deep statue for many years but only recently had the opportunity to visit it personally. What a great experience! It is surrounded by large heads of Coral that can be explored like a fantasy forest. High recommend this experience.

We went on a snorkeling tour through Pennekamp state park. We went out on the dolphin to see the reefs. This was an amazing site for all!

This was a nice trip, we had already gone on a charter in Key Largo (The Conch Picker) and the captain had told us about it. It was very good for my kids to experience something like this and i enjoyed spending the day on the water and in it with my family.

you can take snorkeling tours from John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the staff their is very professional, ground staff is bit stressed and crowded normally during holiday season or at-least when we were there in last week December 2016. Anyhow there are fishes and died coral but overall good activity for any sunny day. If you are going through... More

This is a must do in Key Largo. You dont need scuba tanks to see the statue you can see if from snorkeling or even free diving down a bit.

Reading some of the other reviews, there are some negative ones. This is a very easy dive, only 25 feet maximum depth. So if you need more of a challenge, there are certainly other sites that will provide that. That being said, I loved this dive. I hadn't been diving in several years, and this was a perfect dive to... More
