Reading some of the other reviews, there are some negative ones. This is a very easy dive, only 25 feet maximum depth. So if you need more of a challenge, there are certainly other sites that will provide that. That being said, I loved this dive. I hadn't been diving in several years, and this was a perfect dive to... More

This is one of our favorite places to snorkel. The marine life is abundant and beautiful. I always end up swimming with rays, reef sharks, and schools of fish. The statue is a wonderful sight to see and is not too deep so you can actually snorkel down to it. However, please don't touch it. It's covered with fire corals,... More

I loved it 40 years ago but found it not so great this time around. So small and covered with fire corals.

The "Christ of the Abyss" statue is a fun dive to be had. The statue is cool and the dive is not difficult or too deep. You can SCUBA dive or snorkel down to see it. Always makes for a cool picture. Call up Rainbow Reef and ask when the next time one of their boars are going to that... More

this was one of our stops during my dive trip to Key Largo. This is also the snorkeling trip (20 years ago) that motivated me to start diving. This trip the visibility was a little limited (50' or so) but i've seen it crystal clear, as well... always fun to see.

Everyone should see this. It is not a hard dive. You can see it just snorkeling if it is a clear calm day!

Review geared to Snorkeling. The water here is deep. So if the sun's not really brightly shining, you won't see well. The statue is cool to see, but it's in 30' water. Everyone dives down just deep enough to touch the hand, that's fun. But for seeing live coral and colorful fish, there are much better reefs to see.

This spot was THE REASON we came to Key Largo and was the only dive my GoPro battery died before we got to the statue. GREAT REEF, in my opinion, the statue is very cool, but the surrounding reef is worth spending time on,

The Christ statue is a great sight to see. Its in shallow water, maybe 25 feet. Great for taking pictures.

When we got to this spot for snorkeling we were looking for Christ. Once we found Him it was amazing! There was so much coral and beautiful fish everywhere. It was such an amazing experience. Definitely a place to go visit even with small children. I took my daughter who is nine, and my co-worker took her son who is... More
