In 2012 the iconic boat the African Queen was restored for her 100 year centennial celebration. In May 2012 she once again began plying the waters of Key Largo and currently offers canal and dinner cruises. We go out daily at 10am, 12am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. On Fridays and Saturdays at 6pm we offer a dinner cruise to the Pilot House Marina where passengers disembark and enjoy dinner in the restaurant before boarding the vessel once again to return to the Marina Del Mar. Dinner and lunch cruises are also available on request for groups of at least 4 people.

I booked this adventure cruise easily, online, after my brother, who lives in Key Largo, told me about the ship's restoration. We grew up watching the African Queen movie with our parents and grandparents so this grand opportunity was one to happily seize! We met at the dock at our appointed time, the parking was easy. We found the boat... More

A must for all film buffs - the original African queen and her looks don't deceive. The captain is a jolly jack tar who fire up the steam and takes you through a brief history along the river.

Riding the African Queen in memory of my Mom as it was her favorite movie and after we told the captain the story he made my day and let me drive for a few minutes. Perfect trip and history lesson.

We just did the dinner cruise on the African Queen. For any fan of the old movies, old technologies (engine from 1891 I think) or for anyone looking for that special evening that not everyone and their mother does. The food was nice, our captain was knowledgeable and very welcoming. I was even able to steer the boat once we... More

The restored African Queen began existence as the s/l Livingstone over a century ago before it became a cinematic "star". We learned the history of the boat and a bit about the movie while taking a 90 minute run out into the Atlantic. The captain was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Boat capacity is up to 6 guests. Water... More

We took a 2 PM Friday afternoon canal cruise with Captain Johnny (very knowledgeable & friendly) and really learned a lot about the African Queen - both the origins of the boat and the movie. The captain showed lots of pictures from the film and explained the boat's history and everywhere it traveled (quite a story) before we left the... More
