In 2012 the iconic boat the African Queen was restored for her 100 year centennial celebration. In May 2012 she once again began plying the waters of Key Largo and currently offers canal and dinner cruises. We go out daily at 10am, 12am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. On Fridays and Saturdays at 6pm we offer a dinner cruise to the Pilot House Marina where passengers disembark and enjoy dinner in the restaurant before boarding the vessel once again to return to the Marina Del Mar. Dinner and lunch cruises are also available on request for groups of at least 4 people.

Great excursion on the African Queen!

We had a fantastic time aboard the African Queen, loved the explanation, the history, the old movie photos and the canal cruise out to the open sea - was really fun!

Captain Johnny was great. We had a nice sail. It was cloudy and cool, but definitely worth doing. I would recommend this sunset sail.

The history of how the African Queen became moored in Key Largo is amazing! It was a delight being able to 'cruise' on this iconic steam engine boat. The Captain was very knowledgeable about the history of the boat, the motion picture and those who starred in the movie. We looked forward to this excursion and were so happy with... More

We enjoyed the views from the yacht. I'd have liked to travel further but there was no wind most of the time. Overall it was very relaxing with only 6 guests on board. Johnny also took some great pictures of us looking down from the rigging, for free.

Stepping on to this boat was stepping back in time. Great fun! Captain was informative and knowledgeable and let us pilot the boat down the canal. Watching the steam engine run was quite fascinating.

We took the dinner cruise, and you order your dinner from four choices before leaving so that dinner is ready when you get there. There were two fish choices, and a beef and chicken option. The young man who piloted the boat was very entertaining, filling us in on the history of the African Queen with pictures and stories. I'm... More

Saw the boat moored up at the Holiday Inn Docks but as historic as it might have been, it did not attract us to pay to board it.

We loved it. The boat was perfect, our Captain was informative. We have told all of our friends they have to do this.

Not only do you get a boat ride on canal, but historic details of boat, steam engine, and movie. Captain has pictures from filming in Africa.

We took a canal to ocean ride on the original African Queen and it was really neat to be on the boat and sit where Hepburn and Bogart did. The sound of the steam engine mesmerizing.
