Hot spot for tourists. Many shops, themed knick knacks and food stations. Wander through or use as a thoroughfare when foot traffic is lite.

there's really not much to do here except shop for kitschy souvenirs. All the restaurants are up at the harbor. If you're already walking around, there's no reason not to take a stroll around the square, but you don't need to plan to spend a ton of time here.

You have to go at least one night. Right before Sunset, there are lot of street performers with dangerous and entertaining acts. It's close to shopping, restaurants, etc, so you're already there! You can enjoy the sun set as well. It's free, which is a plus. It's basically the same entertainment every night, so no need to go back each... More

There is nothing to not love about this sunset, except some of the eccentric sellers of wares. If you like the "over the top", this is the right place for you. It is fun, but a little goes a long ways.

At the end of the day an eclectic circus of street performers entertain the crowds of tourist. Along the quay people gather for the sunset, which is guaranteed to occur in the West just before dark. Bring telephoto lenses for the best "oooo and aaaa" shots.

We went for the sunset, which I can't figure out why you would go for anything else. Go about an hour before sunset to see the street entertainment. They guy who works the tight rope was very entertaining. There are also musicians, a guy with a cat who does tricks. It is sort of a carnival atmosphere. The sole reason... More

Always a good time! The people watching is unbelievably fun! Lots of street vendors and people doing unusual stunts. Make sure to go for the sunset and watch for the "green flash".

You really get a feel for how Mallory Square used to be as a old shopping port. Much of the structures still have many original features - the flooring in the seashell shop is of particular beauty. This place quickly gets overrun with tourists from the cruise ships. Before that point, there's cats, roosters, and a few homeless people. Wandering... More
