Fort Zachary Taylor is a wonderful historical site that is completely under-presented. The self-tour guide is a water downed presentation of a few key features but does nothing to outline of the history and significance of this significant installation. If you have the chance to...More

After our first night going to Mallory Square for sunset, the crowd was overwhelming. We came here instead the second night and it was lovely. There was someone playing acoustic guitar very well, and the view was great. I'd love to back someday and see...More

This is a lovely park and a great destination by bike. The fort is interesting and they have free tours included in the nominal admission price of $2.50 per person. There are picnic areas and nice views of the cruise ships. It was too cool...More

Nice fort, about half size of Tortugas fort. At The walking path behind the fort, there were several iguanas near the water.... really cool to see 4 foot iguana in the wild ! Enjoy seeing the giant cannons and the amazing brick architecture.

A great place to stop. It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Keyes. A nice Fort and swimming, and fishing spot. A very relaxing place to take in views

Yes, plenty of parking, but be aware there is an entrance fee, although fee is good for all day.

Did you walk to the fort from the cruise port? We are going in May and I was wondering what is the best way to get to the fort/beach from the cruise port. I will have my son and elderly mom with me. Neither will be able to walk it if it's too far. Thanks in advance.

I've walked the beach and have yet to see that. Any answers?
