There are great sunset views, and the snorkeling is actually quite good around the rocks, I saw many barracuda, parrot fish, damsels, and a few very large hog fish. This is my favorite beach, and it is a popular wedding spot.

Did you walk to the fort from the cruise port? We are going in May and I was wondering what is the best way to get to the fort/beach from the cruise port. I will have my son and elderly mom with me. Neither will be able to walk it if it's too far. Thanks in advance.

I have been to this fantastic park many times and especially enjoy sitting under the pines. One of the reviewers above said that they said to bring a " paddle board and snorkel the clear grass flats" Where are the clear grass flats at Zach Taylor. I've walked the beach and have yet to see that. Any answers?
