It's your typical tourist destination. Lots of shops and restaurants. If you're here the first of January you will see the Dachshund parade go on with cute furry friends.

Remember the old days, when Key West was a laid back place? I think they have loss that atmosphere. It has become a cruise ship port, even when the cruise are not in port. If you have taken a cruise, you know what I mean.

My wife and I spent several hours each day on Duval Street and had a great time. We stopped in several venues for drinks and some crazy songs and overall great time, We really enjoyed the two crazies at Sloppy Joes and laughed until it...More

Nice walking town. Several shops, restaurants and bars, but a vast variety. Friendly, not over bearing . Second tome and still didn't see it all. Relaxing walk.

Lots of quaint shops. All kinds of trinkets to take home. Needed sweatshirts as it was quite cool when we were there.

Key West focal point or tourist trap. Quiet during daylight hours and crowded during night. Everone walks here. It is a must. To see or whatever. Quite expensive compared to European standards. Enjoy.

We walked here after spending sunset at Mallory Square. Great atmosphere and relaxed vibe. We'd also been to Bourbon street in the past, but I've found this is much better. Not as much over the top ness to it. Would go again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day on Duval Street. This is one of those Bucket List places & we're glad we went. We started on the end with the Southernmost Point buoy. We parked on the Lighthouse side of Whitehead street headed toward the buoy. Parking...More

No visit to Key West would be complete without a walk down Duval St. We walked up and down the street every night looking for a place for dinner or for exercise after dinner. Mostly bars, restaurants and t-shirt shops but also several nice stores...More

We are staying in a condo on Smathers Beach in May for a week. We will be renting a car. Looking for recommendations for good a good day trip. Would visiting other keys be too far for a one day trip? Thank you!

It is a perfect day trip up the keys! Be aware traffic can get heavy, but that is something we do every time, all the way to Islamorada!
We are going to the keys. Do we stay on Key West and hop the keys, or is there an option to stay on one of the Keys?

I would suggest staying in a middle key like islamorada or marathon. The hotel rates are more affordable. I usually stay on islamorada but I stay in very basic motels. I spend most of my time outside anyway! I would suggest... More
