This is a very nice drive. Be patient and take your time. See the Tarpon which are 100 lb plus fish in Isla Marada. Fee is around 2$ per person.

Amazing views. A lot of debris still left from hurricane but major cleanup effort underway. It’s a beautiful 3 hour drive to Key West

While it’s true the drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West looks a bit different since Irma, the State of Florida has done a great job getting the Overseas Highway back in business. There was evidence everywhere that in no time at all the roadside...More

I went less than two months after Hurricane Irma. Key West has cleaned up almost completely, but the keys between Key West and Marathon still have a great deal of damage. But, they have also done a great job at rebuilding. This drive was beautiful...More

We’ve been going to the Keys for a number of years and the drive over the bridges is still as breath taking as the first time. This is an experience everyone should have.

This is a spectacular drive as so many people know. Have done it many times, but I've never been so sad to see no traffic as my mother and I saw yesterday on our drive down to Islamorada. The keys are still recovering from Irma...More

It's a couple hour drive, be sure to take time, get off the highway and stop. Plenty of state parks to visit and explore.
