The Key West Aquarium is very small, but still packs in a lot of very cool exhibits, including a couple of the biggest nurse sharks I've ever seen. The building itself is pretty cool and has a lot of character to it. The staff was very friendly, as well. Great place to see all kinds of marine life that lives... More

This is a great little aquarium, and I do mean little. But if you want to go somewhere to learn something about the local ocean wildlife and be a little interactive with some of it, this is a great place. It's not huge and doesn't have one of those huge million gallon tanks, but we enjoyed it. The people who... More

We have been to larger Aquariums, thus just a ok rating. The grandchildren did enjoy helping to feed the fish and they were happy. Our granddaughter said would feed the sharks, but was scared when her turn, but she did feed other fish and happy again.

So, if you can't get out in the water, this is worth a visit. However, once you've been snorkeling in the area a few times, it just isn't the same seeing the fish not out in the open. The aquarium is a bit older, but they have a large selection and explanations.

We had purchased aquarium tickets as part of our trolley tour package so they were at a slight discount over buying everything separately. We’re glad that was the case. This was the saddest aquarium we’ve ever been to. Though it’s open air and has a few rescued sea turtles, the rest of the aquarium was lackluster and tiny. You can... More

We stopped here as it was right at the main trolley stop. It doesn't have a ton of exhibits but it has enough to spend about an hour or so here. There is a touch pond as soon as you walk in with horseshoe crabs, starfish, urchins, queen conch and other sea creatures; then there are two large tanks with... More

If you are looking for something to do on a hot summer day and you are not on the water then its worth it to check out especially if you have kids. Plenty of nurse sharks and sea turtles, but other than that it lacks in species.

This is a small aquarium with the usual kid-friendly viewing tanks (nurse sharks, rays). Staff who are caretakers for the animals also provide regular educational talks about the animals along with inviting visitors to help feed them (sea turtles, fish, sharks). It's a good place for families with younger kids to take a respite from the (mostly adult) activity of... More

Me and my husband went to visit the Key West aquarium not long after we moved here. It was amazing, I love all animals but I LOVE SEA TURTLES AND SHARKS, and we saw both at this aquarium among lots of other amazing animals! And another great thing is that if you are a local you get 50% off tickets!... More
