I went with three other firefighters while on a cruise and had a great time. It was very enjoyable and learned a lot. The chief kept it to our level while being able to explain to anyone. I would highly recommend for anyone.

Chief Castro has poured his heart into this place. He started with the department in 1962 and became chief in the 80's. There is so much to see and it's very interesting. I lived in Key West in the 90's before this museum existed so...More

The Curator was wonderful. He gave his tour and handed out fire man helmets to the kids while they pretended to drive the old engine. Lots of history.

What an experience. Chief Castro (KWFD, Retired) was "on duty" at the museum to share his personal knowledge and experience and bring our visit to life.....past and present. Chief Castro took us through history of both the KWFD and City. From one Firefighter to another,...More

I absolutely loved touring the museum. The tours are given by retired fire chiefs. Very interesting to learn how the fire service in Key West has evolved to what it is today. Definitely check this museum out.

Chief Castro has a lot of stories to tell and the firehouse contains so much history. Especially interesting for current and former firefighters. Be willing to take your time to see everything

My boyfriend is a firefighter and he absolutely loved the tour of the old fire station. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable for not having originated in Key West. There was so much to see, we stayed for awhile taking about everything.

It was a great experience. The tour was led by very knowledgeable former firefighters from the island. They packed a lot of the department and island history into the old fire station 3.

Like others, we were led through the tour by Chief Castro, who was awesome. We've been on other tours and in other museums in Key West, but this was the one we might have learned the most from. Chief Castro is a treasure trove of...More
