My boyfriend is a firefighter and he absolutely loved the tour of the old fire station. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable for not having originated in Key West. There was so much to see, we stayed for awhile taking about everything.

It was a great experience. The tour was led by very knowledgeable former firefighters from the island. They packed a lot of the department and island history into the old fire station 3.

Like others, we were led through the tour by Chief Castro, who was awesome. We've been on other tours and in other museums in Key West, but this was the one we might have learned the most from. Chief Castro is a treasure trove of...More

The transformation of the Oldest Firehouse in South Florida is a true museum and relic! The people who have transformed this historic building are truly the salt of the earth! Their fundraisers to keep up the maintenance and costs always involve the best homemade chili!

Awesome time. Definitely need to make time for this museum. Learned a lot of stuff I didn't know about the fire service and about the early Key West fire departments. Will definitely be back our next trip to Key West.

Well worth the time to visit. Lots of Key West history, very interesting pieces of history. Tours are run by retired Captains from the Department who are very knowledgeable about the history of the island.
