This beach is hard to find, very small and very dirty. I was very disappointed in the city ordinance that does not allow dogs on any of the public beach, and this "dog beach" is a negligible resource for dog owners visiting and living in...More

Small patch of beach but all for the dogs, which is awesome since they have been so rudely prohibited from most beaches in South Florida. Several palm trees provide much needed shade on a hot summer day.

You will find a tiny sliver of sand adjacent to the Louie's Back Yard restaurant called The Dog Beach. Locals bring their dogs here to frolic in the water while they relax in the sand. Some picnic there as well. Do not expect a 4-star...More

Watching the dogs frolic, chasing tennis balls and toys was fun, the people there were friendly, the beach was very clean and buckets of tennis balls added to the fun!

Although small it prove to be good for dogs - chance to enjoy the water while not bothering people. Saw plenty of dogs on such a nice day !

Very cute small beach! People giving this negative reviews must not be familiar with key west, which has very few beaches. Dog beach is very small but it's better than nothing!

A cute little beach next to Louie's Backyard. This beach is very popular with dog owners as there are only a few beaches in Key West where you can take your dog for a swim. Not a people swimming beach, but great place to cool...More

We took our dog and will go back because it is the only one. The other reviews are accurate. It is a small area. Water was murky. It was a little smelly. I was not bothered by this and just enjoyed some water time with...More
