The camping experience was amazing and having the Yankee Freedom provide Hot showers on a daily basis as well as food and water if needed, really made the "primitive camping" on the island much more enjoyable!

I have never been when it was crowded. This is the only company that is allowed to ferry people to Fort Jefferson. There are 200 plus sits on the vessel but it is never to capacity. Once you get to the island, you hardly... More

Entirely free to do your own thing. The only thing you'll want to pay attention to is the hours they serve lunch. The snorkeling is directly from the beach and honestly it's not very good.
