We stopped in as we were walking toward the marina and we are very glad we did. The shop is small, but we spent a lot of time there. The employee, Anita, was so interesting to talk to and was so informative. She met Mel Fisher when she was about eighteen and was working for him when he hit the... More

I stopped in to look around on our most recent visit and asked permission to photograph a coin (I knew I was not buying anything) and the young lady at the counter was so nice! Even though I was not spending a dime she still took the time to tell us about some of the pieces and history. She dove... More

Anita was very friendly and knowledgable. We love the coins we purchased and will think about our fun trip to Key West every time we wear them.

When you take a walk along the Bight, find this Gift Shop. You won't be disappointed. You can find the same souvenirs here that you would on Duval or Mallory Square at 1/2 the price! It is well worth the trip. The owner/manager were very helpful with helping you to find what you needed/wanted as well as with offering advice... More

We spent a good 30 minutes or more in this lovely shop. The manager her granddaughter were very gracious and shared a lot of history about the shipwreck.

My husband & I lucked out by stopping in Key West Treasure Chest! We were limited on time in Key West since we were on a cruise. My husband loves shipwreck history & we got to meet and talk with one of the owners. She was so interesting to talk with plus she wasn't at all pushy with sales. We... More

We were cheated. My wife really wanted a coin from the Atocha find by Mel Fisher. This shop is supposedly owned by his attorney. We bought a grade 2, 4 reale coin from the Potosi mint, with a mount for $4,626.00, only to be told by the people at the Mel Fisher Museum that we overpaid by almost $2000. WE... More

I read your review and I sell artifacts that come from lots of wrecks ,land finds, private collections. All cob coins from the Atocha were clipped by hand and struck between dies by hand. This process made all of the coins unique. Every coin has different details because of the minting process and salt water corrosion after being in the ocean... More

I had been meaning to stop here many times on our trips to Key West and finally made it a point to do so. I'm really glad I did! It was fun meeting and speaking with Sherry, the store manager. If you are a diver, it is so interesting talking to her about her experiences working with Mel Fisher and... More
