A moving tribute to those who lost their lives, but also the survivors, in the strongest storm (measured by lowest pressure) to ever strike the US. Worth a quick stop - encourages appreciation of the Keys and our good fortune in our modern lives.

One of the few things along the keys that is actually free we spent probably 15-20 minutes here very interesting we also went to Pigeon key which tied in nicely as it gave more detail about the train and trying to save the people that...More

The Hurricane of 1935 resulted in total devastation for the people who living here. The cremated remains of over 300 people are buried with this 80 year old monument.
