This short trip is well worth spending the time. There is a nice boat ride, about 15 minutes each way, and the tour is very interesting. The museum is full of interesting facts. After the tour, there is time to sit & relax, explore around the island, or revisit the museum.

I have been to Pigeon Key twice and enjoyed it both times. I love the secluded little island. The museum has lots of history of Henry Flagler and the construction of the over seas railroad. Pack a picnic to eat under a palm tree or the bridge. Beautiful views all around.

We preferred the tour 15 years ago...it seems like their current tour has been watered down a bit (more PC) than in the past. Some of the more intriguing details we recalled are no longer mentioned and it's more of a classroom environment for children now. That said, it's worth the stop is you have time, but check boat schedules... More

We took the 2pm ferry, which took only about 10 minutes to get to the key. There were nine people total on our boat and when we got there the only other people on it left so the nine of us had the whole place to ourselves. There was a guide to give you the history of the place if... More

This was the highlight of my trip to the keys. My family and I drove past Pigeon Key almost every day, and we finally got the chance to take the ferry out to it yesterday! Let me tell you...breathtaking!!! With just a little over 3 acres of land, you can easily walk the entire island in no time. There's a... More

We love pigeon key just to go out and walk the island. They have a very interesting small museum with the history of the island and the Henry Flagler railroad! We bring all of our guests there to visit.

Great day trip to the island via boat. Excellent guided tour by a very enthusiastic and well-informed docent. Boat crew went way beyond their duties to assist handicapped person in our group with getting on and off the boat. Wish the old railroad car where tickets were purchased would have been accessible via a ramp as handicapped person with us... More
