Interesting way to kill a couple hours!

We visited with 6 people...it was pleasant. We enjoyed learning about the sea turtles and viewing them. It can get quite hot during the walking parts but it's worth a visit.

Plan for a 90 minute guided tour through a facility where dedicated people take care of injured sea turtles. Some can be rehabilitated and released other have a life time home. You learn about sea turtles, species, food habits, habitat types and the dangers they face in the environment. And yes you get to see all the species in one... More

My husband and I were a little reluctant to go because the outside looks a bit touristy. This was not at all touristy but very educational! The staff is extremely knowledgeable about their turtles and strive to educate the visitors. They also did an excellent job of communicating how humans can help turtles. If you're wondering why some of the... More

Learn about the various species of sea turtles and the efforts to rehabilitate. Educational, not commercial.

This is a guided tour of about 1.5 hours with explanations about their program and the turtles that are there. You can learn a lot about turtles if you allow yourself plenty of time before or after the tour to read, watch and look at all their informational displays. There are many good things going on here, with the rehab... More

We visited last year with our 3 yr old daughter and 6 year old son. They had a great time, learned a lot, and both got turtle stuffed animals that they named after 2 of the rescue turtles we saw that day.

The Turtle Hospital is one of the must-see places in the Keys. They rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured and sick turtles. What a great mission these folks are on! Be sure to make a reservation to take their 90 minute tour complete with guide and even a chance to feed some turtles. We could use more organizations like this that... More

The presentation was interesting, but seemed to be more geared toward children. It was informative and a good opportunity to understand the effects of people and other marine life on turtles. Loved seeing the inhabitants!
