If you think practicing self-defense doesn't get your blood pumping, think again! The 300 degree shoot/no shoot scenarios are realistic enough to get the adrenaline really working. Really makes you stop and think about what you would need to do if it were real life. Should definitely be part of your agenda if you carry concealed.

I regularly shoot pistol at Gander's indoor shooting range, it's truly an excellent range. The air-conditioning is strong and keeps the air nicely filtered. I am very happy that there is always an RSO on the range to keep everyone safe. The computerized target hangers are also good, easy to use and offer many different modes to quickly show and... More

Having previously visited back in 2011, was eager to return for more time on the simulators. They've got two types of simulator available - the 180 degree and the 300 degree as well as the Virtual Range and a Live-Fire Range. Most of what you do on the 180 degree is target practice and a fun, almost game-like program called... More

Great place for everyone! I like their gun range and the selection of items to choose from. My kids like going here and finding things to buy for outside.

I stopped by to pick up some ammo I ordered online. I did some browsing while I was there, especially firearms and camping. They have an inside gun range, which isn't cheap. It is a pretty large sport store and their prices range from low to high.

There are a few things that we purchase at Gander, very few. If you intend to use their range, please, please, please, read the waiver you are about to sign! It specifically says you have NO rights at all - they can photo you, video you, turn you into a cartoon and mock you if you do something wrong ...... More

I have bought boots and sandals for hiking. The staff is very nice and helpful. I only wish they had more choices for women. More choices for men here:) Overall, it is like a toy store for outdoor enthusiasts. I love walking out and checking all the products - kayaks, camping equipment etc. Always a pleasure.

The range was nice, as was the simulated range. But the bald-headed manager was unimpressive. He could not answer any questions about how the process worked. When my husband and I asked about the simulated range, he pointed to a placard. When we asked the differences in the offerings, he simply said, "It all depends on what you like." We... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the live range as well as the 180 simulator. The staff were very helpful in explaining the rules and also with how to utilize the various options for the simulator. We had a great time and hope to comeback sometime. Maybe Gander MTn will open another Academy closer in NC.

If you need soemthing for the outdoor lifestyle, this is the place to go. Weather you're into nature, or hunting, boating, or camping, or just want a different fuel for your BBQ, I suggest comping here. Lots of tech clothing options, equipment, footwear and weapons. The staff is really helpful, and the prices are decent. I wouldn't seek sports equipment... More
