We spent almost two weeks at this park and loved it. The live Oaks draped in Spanish moss and the Saw Palmettos and Palms made for a beautiful tropical setting. We saw so many deer and birds and loved all the well maintained trails to hike and bike on. The sites were set well apart giving us much privacy. We... More

Beautiful park but if you do not have a boat you will bored to death. Campground is very clean. Easy path to dock, playground and main trailhead. People staying here say fishing is great. You can rent kayaks and canoes, but you will have to paddle some to reach the lake. Most people here have motor boats.

We visited this beautiful park on a Friday around 11am. It only cost $5 to get in. There is a small general store ( mostly for campers). You can rent kayaks and canoes and also segways for which you will get a lesson. We didn't do any of those things, but we did hike in the woods ending up at... More

One would think with the word lake in the name you might get to see it. There is one hiking trail that takes you by the lake for about 100 yards. There is a bench at each end below the reeds.

Had a great visit at Lake Kissimmee State Park. Camped in our travel trailer. The campground is very nice. The sites vary in size but most have plenty of privacy. Ones on the outside have access to trails. The facilities are very well kept. Staff and volunteers very nice. Marina/store area has free wifi.

Read about this state park and how much of the birds, gators and other critters one would like to see. We're not campers, but because we heard about all the wildlife, we went there on 2/21/16 - first thing we notice was all the burned areas riding the road into the park - actually, that's about all we saw was... Probably one of the most beautifull state park in florida but the noise level is incridible due to a lot af airboats on the lake. Specialy from friday afternoon to sunday night. They go 24 hours a day. At times you can hardly hear yourself scream! We spent 2 weeks here in february and we will never come here again.

We stayed next door at Liar's Lodge Motel at Camp Mack. Went hiking- saw deer and other great wildlife. Went on airboat tour at Camp Mack - loved it. Saw numerous alligators - one 12 footer!

The campgrounds are great. Very spacious and private. Very large state parks with lots of trails, camp store, boating, fishing and don't forget to do the Segway. We had a great time.

Cudos to the rangers at the park. At the main gate we were treated by a super nice ranger who assisted me in getting a lifetime free admission card to Florida state parks due to a service connected disability. Very patient and friendly. Also met a ranger on the hiking trail who stopped and explained to use what type of... More
