Nice area to walk. Even thoug it was mid-morning when we began the trail, we still managed to see some birds, gators, and a very large turtle! There is always something to find. Bring water on those hot days!

This is a great place to get in touch with nature. It's not far from civilization, but when lyoiu're there, it's like being in the wilderness. There are great facilities where you can learn a bunch. Be sure to bring your camera!

My husband and I finally gave this place a try and loved it. I have lived in Florida for 36 years and the summer heat still gets me sometimes and it was still fun! It's worth the walk, and plan to do it again..

My friend and I drove out here and what a great place! There are tons of native birds which gives photographers another reason to take the trip. There are several trails, a couple where there is water on either side of a narrow walkway, which...More

They are called "apple snails'. The Limpkins eat these as their only source of food. That's why you see so many of the empty shells throughout the reserve. There is another bird that eats only the apple snail and it is a... More

Yes on the visitor center, but not to walk around the trails, I didn't recommend it.
