This is a "sight" not to miss. Hundreds of cars and people setting up extended family grills, tables and chairs to have a "day at the beach" supplemented by a weekend flea/farmers market. This was really fun to see and a beautiful beach with free...More

After lunch, we went to this beach and found a beautiful piece of paradise. The beach was clean, had clean bathrooms and little changing houses. It was a Thursday, so may be really busy on the weekends, but we had a stretch to ourselves. It...More

Had some cloudy weather but it was not going to stop us on our weekend getaway. This beach was a short walk from our hotel. Very pristine and my friends that live here told us it's one of the easier ones to park at.

This park has it all, shady free parking, gorgeous white sandy beach, changing rooms, sand showers, covered pavilions, lifeguard and picnic tables. Well maintained. At the end where the bridge begins there is no entry to the water because of rough currents, this is the...More

We've vacationed in this area for over 25 years and this is one of our favorite beaches anywhere. Clean, perfect sand, plenty of free parking, concession stand, and restrooms. Absolutely love coming here and always a good time.

As beaches go this was ok. Plenty of parking. Sand quality ok. Too many pine trees around which make for debris that is tough on the feet and can mess up your car. Facilities are present but not real clean. Patrons can be a bit...More

What a lovely beach, be it to walk upon, swim, sunbathe, or even people watch. Plenty of parking, shady areas to get under trees, avoiding the midday sun, cafes and showers/ loos.

We stayed the month of January and the only activity we saw that looked gang related was squirrels. No, seriously, we felt totally safe in that area. We walked there approximately a dozen times without incident.

At least two hours - if not longer. This beach is on the south end of Anna Maria Island - which is a good 45-60 minutes from I-75.

There is no charge to park at Coquina beach, though sometimes there are some entry charges to the selected areas for special events, such as the annual symphony on the sands. Even then the parking areas are free.
