We are so lucky to have family in Naples with a boat now as we could otherwise not have enjoyed the beautiful beach, warm September water nearing sunset. It’s full of live sand dollars to see snorkeling and those no longer alive to take home. Our first spot we stopped on Friday there was only one resident visible otherwise we had the whole beach to ourselves! Plan to visit again today.

I have been shelling before with Sand Dollar Shelling, but never on Keewaydin Island before this trip. There was a huge expanse of wide open beach with tons of shells. Captain Paul was a wonderful captain and host, and I would highly recommend Sand Dollar Shelling. Make sure you book a trip where Captain Paul is running the trip!

Took Hemingway shuttle which was outstanding. Very wavy that day on one side, probably not for mist folks. Other side short walk was calm and pleasant. Food boat if you're hungry. Other folks around, felt very safe, no issues at all.

Nice place away from the city and tourists because the only way to get here is by boat. There were some cool boat food trucks with hot dogs, ice cream, other foods. The only thing that I did not like was that everyone was playing their own music as loud as they could and hearing that ruined the calmness. Overall nice place to go to if you have a boat.

Keewaydin is a fantastic opportunity if you have access to a boat. We typically rent from Rose Marina. Getting to the island and parking your boat is very easy even the most novice of boaters can do it. The island offers a beautiful beach, plenty of shelling opportunities, good people, food “truck” boats, ice cream boats, plenty of space to relax. Walking between where you park your boat and the other side of the island make sure to wear something on your feet as there are thorny burrs. This island is long and provides another fun stop if you made it to the main gathering point why not go a bit further. There is a “secret island” access point down by bouy 51. You can shore anchor your boat and a short walk through the foliage will get you to the other side. We were there for an hour and saw no one.

This Island has fantastic shelling and is a beautiful place to visit for the day or even part of the day. My husband and I and our daughter and her husband went for a half day and found beautiful whole shells here. It’s a great place to take a picnic lunch, towels, lawn chairs, etc and make a day of it! It’s great for everyone of all ages. There are no bathrooms there so that needs to be considered in your plans.

We rented a boat from Rose marina for 4 hours to just sight see and go to the Keeweedin Beach. Had fun collecting shell, beach combing and swimming in the canal. Nice break just to do something different.

Fantastic sea shell finding and day drinking experience. Found an intact sand dollar and multiple conk shells. People are very welcoming and floating down the inlet during high tide is a blast.

This sand bar is fun to go to. You need a boat or you may find a ferry out to it. Food boat put up while you are there and I hear that the burger boat is great. Its just a fun place to go to for shells, sun and relaxing on your boat.
