We've been to lots of Caribbean beaches and honestly..this is just as good. The only one with bluer water is Turks and Caicos. These beaches are amazing. White sand, blue water, just the right amount of surf at times. No one haggling you on the...More

Marco Island is wonderful place, with a beach at it's core. The sand is beautiful, but because of the sea shell makeup is rougher than one might expect. The beach is so peaceful, and is a great place to go shelling, or to just sit...More

We recently stayed a week on Marco Island and found ourselves visiting South Marco Beach several times during our stay. Our family would get setup in an area and the women would enjoy the sun & beach and the men would go surf/beach fishing and...More

How does 82 degree water sound? The water is warm, the vista is amazing, and the sand is white and packed down making for easy walking. That says it all.

This is a very nice beach especially for our toddler grandkids. The water was very calm and tapered off very gradually allowing for some excellent splashing along the shore. There were also loads of shells for collecting. For those who want water sports and to...More

South beach has changing facilities, snack bar, and pay parking. Beach is sand and shells at the water. Many varieties of whole shells can be found along with sand dollars and star fish up and down the beach.

First time in Marco Island and probably our last. South Marco Beach has no public facilities and that is not much fun. Every condo is “gated” so if you aren’t staying there, good luck. If you are renting, you need to go back to your...More

This beach is amazing! The sand is white and fine, and it doesn't get very hot. There's a lot to do on the beach like parasailing, jet skiing and looking for shells. It is a great place!

The beach is beautiful and close in proximity to restaurants and beach rental equipment. Great place to visit whether your there to swim sunbath or walk the sea shore picking up some unique shells. It’s a shame that Marco didn’t save more land from developers...More

If you are using Public Access , probably back to car and nearest gas station. I doubt you can walk into a nearby hotel restroom.
