We spent the 40 min to 1 hr guided walking tour in awe and enjoyed relearning our basic science. We were treated with the sighting of cute cavern bats and crickets. Our guide was knowledgeable, fun and comical. He had every concern for our safety....More

Up early for the first cave tour of the morning- had a very small group tour led by Brooke. She was awesome mixing cave trivia with punny jokes- kept the kids engaged the whole 45 minutes! Have to duck in a couple of places but...More

Who even knew this type of thing was in Florida? I sure didn't, but I made it a point to get here once I found out. This state park is pretty big and has a lot of hiking trails and a lovely lake. But its...More

Florida Caverns State Park is a nice campground to spend a long weekend. Our site was a back in, but once I got situated, we were close to the utilities. The campground itself is clean, but simple. There are nice, long trails where we walked...More

While our cave tour guide was "phoning it in" - not very enthusiastic - it still is a great tour, interesting to see and hear about. There are also several fairly easy trails through the woods in this park, so you can stretch your legs....More

We visited the caverns on a very cold day, so they felt warm. Our guide, Chris, led us through sharing information and stories about the formations and history of the caves. Chris was our guide. He was funny and entertaining while guiding us through the...More

Easy trails, friendly rangers, interesting layout of trails with elevation, some paved ways, different vegetation, varying presentation with water level that day (the change is remarkable), and overall nicely marked trails make this a must. Get the annual family pass and save money long-term or...More

Brooke did a fine job showing us around the cave. It is 100% humidity inside. Cool stalagtights and stalagmites!

Brooke was a great tour guide. She clearly tailored her talk to the audience and provided creative examples to explain cave features. Excellent sense of humor and very well-informed.

Yes, dogs are allowed in the park but not in the cavern. We spent four days with our two dogs and had a wonderful time. There are long trails that we enjoyed exploring. We brought them everywhere, except the cavern.
