Lovegrove Gallery & Gardens is the international headquarters for Florida artist, Leoma Lovegrove and one of the most colorful destinations in the sunshine state. The gallery showcases Lovegrove's original art and it is here where you can step into her techinicolor world of tropical artistic flair and experience the authentic island style life of an artist. Paint your own Florida souviner in her world famous botanical waterfront gardens (Paint and brushes included). Or paint your very own coconut postcard to keep or mail back home (no box needed- mails as is). You can also paint your own painting in the garden with the help of Vino's Picasso (Seasonal Nov-April). You can also enjoy homemade ( "Love Boat Ice Cream")ice-cream right out of a real coconut shell and guess what? You can keep the shell and take it back home to remind you of the happy memories you made while visiting one of Florida's most popular historic landmarks and destinations. Sunday's with Tucke, (Jim Tucke, the musical genius and Beatles historian) begin in December and her performs every Sunday through March. Hours for the live music is 2 pm - 5 pm. The event is FREE. Leoma's private studio and guest cottage is adjacet to the gallery so chances are you see Leoma busy painting a canvas or planting a flower or beating on her drum on the garden stage.

Leoma Lovegrove is a very talented, colorful artist with themes of Florida. I love her clothing line which is sold at Bealls. I have several pieces of her clothes and I'm always looking out for her new designs. Even my husband like her clothes! We...More

Great art, very colorful and varied paintings. Small, but worth a trip. Her art work is not cheap. Located with other eclectic shops.

Her art is so vibrant, colorful, happy, silly and puts you in that creative state of mind (just like Leoma :-)) I absolutely LOVE going there and taking friends & family too! Makes me eager to go home & create!

After reading a lot of the reviews I almost didn't want to go to this place. When we arrived all of the Trump memorabilia was gone. What was there was beautiful artwork and nice employees. I highly recommend this place

This is a fun place to visit. Bealls of Florida has really put this artist on the map. If you love bright Florida colors, do visit. The salesperson seemed disinterested when we shopped here, but don't let that stop you!

Pretty place. Interesting presentation. Painful and uncomfortable experience just being there. The ardent aggressive mean spirited political stance is both unpleasant and frightening. Don't go there. The world is ugly enough without this attitude.

Bought a darling picture of "Scribbles". So cute! She is a very talented artist! Excited to bring it back to Montana!

Go to their web site and see when the classes are taking place and how to register. If that doesn't help - phone them.
Dear Smcclendon, We apologize to you and others who have come to see our gardens behind the gallery and found them closed. During the summer months we are short staffed and use the summer months to renovate the gallery and gardens. From June through October we are open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Starting November 1st we are open daily except for Christmas and Easter. This summer’s renovations include repaving our garden paths to make the walking areas slip resistant when they are wet from the rains (especially in the summer). When the project is complete we will be able to open the gardens during the summer months without fear of customers accidentally slipping on wet pavement. We are also installing a much needed irrigatiaon system and that will take a month to complete. We are making these extensive renovations so we can open the gardens during the summer months. To those who felt shunned by my husband, Mike when he let some Beatle’s fans into the gardens and then didn’t let them in - it was a bad judgement call on his part. He wanted me to share that with you. Those particular Beatles fans were only allowed in one area to take the photo. They did not have free access to the entire gardens. We are working to make sure everybody is aware of our summer hours and that the gardens are under heavy renovations. Again, we apologize and hope to make it up to you on your next visit to our little island of Matlacha.
