A true location that shows "local pride" and cherished origins of the founders of the town. Out of necessity many years ago, a rail was used to transport goods from river to ocean only few blocks long. It worked and a settlement began. This historical...More

This park is situated in downtown Melbourne Beach. It is right on the waterfront and next to the Melbourne Beach Pier. We visited during the Founders Day Festival and had a wonderful time. Don't miss the historic sites and plaques throughout the park. The pier...More

They have a pier currently partly closed and being repaired due to Hurricane Matthew. The park has bench seating near the river's edge in several places which are great for watching the sunsets. The park has a couple of hundred feet of river frontage. There...More

We walked to the park and were disappointed that the pier was closed since it had ben damaged by hurricane Mathew. In fact, much of the tree debris and broken dock materials had not yet been completely picked up in November. Definitely will come back,...More

Such a beautiful place to sit and watch the sunset. We were unable to walk on the pier just yet because of Hurricane Matthew- but sat at the end and watched the sunset- breathtaking!

We went in October mid-week, after Hurricane Matthew, and the pier was closed as unsafe. Rest of the park was fine, little kids playing on the equipment, seniors playing bocce in custom pit. Clean facilities and easy parking.

Shaded park in FL. Need I say more? Nice playground for littles and another one for the middles. You can enjoy a gorgeous view of the Indian River, even a stroll on the pier for a sunset, large open space for games, picnic tables, tennis courts,...More

We enjoyed a pleasant evening stroll out on the pier after dinner at D'Jons Steak and Lobster. What a pleasant surprise to find this great park. Fishing looked great as well, but what a beautiful spot regardless of the fish! Enjoy this little treasure.

The pier is absolutely gorgeous and the park is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. My kids love the playground equipment. Check out the dolphin tree carving.

Very nice park with several trees to climb and provide shade. All the usual play ground equipment plus a pier to enjoy sunsets and wildlife.

Is a quiet, well-behaved dog on leash permitted to walk with owners at this park/pier? Clean-up guaranteed. While we know about Canova Dog Beach, also looking for something similar to Indian Riverside Park/pier we frequented in Jensen Beach.

Yes, I have seen many folks with dogs on a leash at this park....usually passing through. I don't see as many on the pier but mostly in the park. Not sure if dogs are allowed on the pier.
