- Jimea JHouston, Texas11 contributionsGreat hangout space for friendsWe were in town for a Virgin Voyage cruise and needed a place to grab a bite to eat before retiring to our hotel and this was the perfect location! There is more to do here than just eat! You can go on short boat cruises, have a cocktail or 3, lol, meet up and catch up with friends! That's exactly what I did! I met up with some friends, had good food, cocktails, and enjoyed the view from the restaurant. Prime location for Miami! Can't go wrong here but pack some patience for the parking garage! My suggestion...UBER!Visited April 2023Travelled with friendsWritten September 19, 2023
- Jennyfer C1 contributionWe will be back again. My parents and I, recently came back from our Miami trip. May I say this was the best place for people who want to go shopping, enjoy a meal with great vibes and views. We loved the atmosphere and the views. Highly recommend.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten September 28, 2023
- Robak2018pGreenwood, Indiana429 contributionsOne time is okIt is nice overlooking the water and walking around. It has restaurants, bars, clothing shops, sightseeing cruises and fishing charters. Everything is very overpriced! But for a stroll around once in the day and evening when it's lit up is nice.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten November 25, 2023
- 358GManBossier City, Louisiana284 contributionsEnjoy a walk along the pier and a non-alcohol fruit drinkA good place to kill a couple hours. Plenty of little souvenir stores and all are over priced. All have the same thing. Plenty of places to eat and if you like to booze, then you'll enjoy this place. Bring your credit card. They prefer CC rather than cash. We had a Lobster Roll - $30 for that. We split it. It was the size of 2 pc of Texas Toast if you know what that is. Other than booze, expensive food, venders in your face trying to get you in their store or sell you their boat rides... It was OK to kill off a couple hours. We got there at 11 and left at 1 on a Thursday so it was quiet and not very crowded.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten November 30, 2023
- gefilte63Beachwood, Ohio744 contributionsLots of Restaurants and Shops Pre-CruiseHaving to check out of a hotel by 11 and not get to the boat earlier than 2:30 left us with some time to kill near the Port of Miami. This mall is literally at the entrance to the port. There are plenty of chain stores, but also some local boutiques and souvenir shops. Lots of restaurants to choose from as well. I'm not sure that this is the #1 thing to do in Miami, but on a nice day it is good to pass a few hours, do some shopping, and grab lunch.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten December 21, 2023
- Mark TAgeo, Japan602 contributionsQuite morning.I walked around the shopping mall in the early morning. I enjoyed the very quiet atmosphere. I saw a lot of luxury boats. I completely went to a zen moment in Miami. If you are looking for a walking course in Miami, please walk around here.Visited December 2023Travelled soloWritten January 30, 2024
- Keshia E4 contributionsAmazing place absolutely beautiful viewsWe came to Miami a day early before our cruise and looked for something to do for the evening and we found Bayside. This place is amazingly beautiful. Shops, food, minor attractions and just a pretty view of the water. Check this place out!!Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten February 2, 2024
- Claire and LukeAtlanta, Georgia47 contributionsGo for afternoon drinksWe walked here from Brickell, to get breakfast and shop around. We were a bit disappointed at the lack of unique shops and dinning, but we ended up at Bacon Bitch, which was very fun, and had great food. This would be a great spot to grab drinks later in the afternoon, but I wouldn't come here with the intent to find unique shopping.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten February 11, 2024

An extensive market place filled with shops and restaurants are along the Miami’s harbor front. The port of Miami is just about a mile away. From the airport, Bayside is under eight miles, a 15-minute Uber ride away. Bayside Park is close by and so is Miami’s famous boardwalk/sea walk area.
A giant banyan tree anchors the entrance to Bayside. This banyan tree is over 110 years old. The oldest USA banyan tree, though, is in Lahaina, Maui Hawaii. Nevertheless, this banyan tree does make a beautiful setting for photos. The Bubba Gump restaurant sits opposite the banyan tree.
It is at Bayside where you can pick-up bus tours and harbor tours. A food court is on the second floor southside. A small Starbucks is on the first floor.
Hooters sits in the middle of the complex with a number of other restaurants. The iconic restaurant, Hard Rock, has a large restaurant on the southside of the pavilion.
If you are in downtown Miami, you have the availability to take the “FREE” people-mover. You can get on or off at the Bayside station across the street. The new Brightline train is but five blocks away that can take you away to Ft. Lauderdale or even to West Palm Beach.

We arrived early for a concert at American Airlines Arena so we decided to dine at Bayside Market Place which is walking distance just South of the arena. Crossing the street to get there was a leap of faith as we prayed not to be run over. Once there, the place was overwhelmed with people queing in line for everything, including the bathrooms. As we walked around we noticed that dirty floors and smudged glass storefronts was the normal abnormal of this place. We were starving, so we tried three sit down restaurants, but two had very long waits. The third sat us down right away, but we found everything from tables to chairs to menus sticky. We decided to walk out and ate at the Five Guys Burgers, which seemed like the safest choice given the poor hygiene of the entire market place. Given our entire experience, we give Bayside Market Place and strong Not Recommended.

we arrived in Miami from the airport at 9 am too early to check-in at the hotel. There was 4 of us. So we went to bayside marketplace. they had shops street vendors sightseeing water activities it's a great way to spend free time we walked the shops stopped for lunch at landshark restaurant we had peel and eat shrimp i would say they were the large size and they were chilled with cocktail sauce and fried pickles they were the bomb. we had fish tacos it was 3 to a order the seafood combo that wasn't a large serving for the money, bbq burger was ok, and the crispy chicken sandwich and key lime pie for dessert we spent $102. for the 4 of us excluding the tip. then we went for a boat ride to south beach and the cost was $35. per person it was about a 20-30 minute ride the boat lets you off and comes back in a hour but the thing is where the drop you off its more of a boat dock no sandy beach all in all the day was over at 4:30 and we had a good day.

This place is great to occupy time before a cruise because it has retail accounts for things you forgot at home or adjust to the weather as we did to pouring rain. The eateries and bars are great and not that overly priced as you would expect. The seafood was excellent and it was like a party going on around you. If you are not in to spending money it is great to walk around the docks and also window shop. I saw a review that the place is a "Rip off" but I did experience that and I have seen enough tourist traps in my day traveling around the world. If you need RX there is a CVS across the street.

This place is perfect for a family or friends. Kids, adults and people of all ages will enjoy the live music and the view of the ocean as well as the boat tours, shopping and dining. Plenty of parking inside Bayside and also street parking available. Remember Bayside is by the ocean and located in Downtown Miami.
A really family friendly place to visit by locals and tourist.

Great little arcade in the quay. Lots of boat trips from here for sightseeing too. We went on a Sunday, there was a band playing salsa style music and lots of locals dancing in the sun to it. We had a take out cocktail and sat in the sun watching after the thriller Miami boat your. Lovely day and lovely atmosphere.

After many years of not going, I was downtown at another event. My date suggested we go to Bayside. When we got there we parked at the lot in Bayside. As we walked I noticed the majority of the people were the homeless that frequent the area. Along with them were the loud and obnoxious hood rats. There was a band playing live music that seemed like they could have played at a better venue. They were not to happy to be playing to the drunken homeless. I will not be going back on a Saturday night.

This was one of my favorite places in the mid 90s for shopping and dining with friends. While visiting for the first time in at least 15 years I was happy to "from a distance" see the development was still open but the closer we got, the scarier it got. I would categorize most of the crowd as undesirable, people that I'm not sure were even truly supporting the businesses as the crowd outside the stores and restaurants was bigger than those in and a crowd that clearly doesn't look at themselves in the mirror before going out in public. I would hate to use the word "sub-culture" but that's the cleanest I find to describe who frequents this place now. Walking through clouds of marihuana smoke is kind of the thing here too. Not sure if truly allowed or whether the staff just looks away and holds their breath from the nasty skunk as dealing with it may mean keeping a job somehow. Lombardis Italian Restaurant which I used to frequent is still there though it has clearly changed to stay up with the times and now has a Conga Bar with fun lively music. Not the Lombardi's I remember but all good. There's a Ferris wheel that didn't exist before and that was fun. Dirty and dingy with a false sense of safety given by the fact you hope nobody will do something stupid in front of the crowd. Not rushing back, perhaps will get better if I wait another 15 years to return. If Bayside Marketplace is in any way a reflection of where our country is going... Yikes!!

spent a day at this place, nothing special, very overpriced, probably due to tourism, the drink is $12 US, bear $6-8 US, the food court is very average and also overpriced for what they sell, best experience we had was we took the boat trip, $28US for 1.5 hours. From the airport we took Uber and it cost $18 one way. and also everyone expects/asking for a tip, even when it is included in the price :).

There’s a way, using public transportation, that I can go to Key Biscayne beach? I’m going to Miami using the brig one train. Thanks!
