I have lived in Miami for 25 years and stayed away from visiting attractions that involve animals in captivity as much as possible. Last weekend we visited Jungle Island for the first time. I have mixed emotions, the park overall is nice, shaded, and the staff polite, the size is comfortable; something that can be walked in 3 hours with... More

Very nice shows, sit as close to the front as possible! The pot bellied pig in one show was the best! With 2 wheelchairs for elderly parents, the guides/hostesses were very helpful in getting them situated. Nice gift shop and plenty of restrooms. Only downside is poorly marked entrance to ticket and building arrival area even for Uber & Lyft.... More

Fun for the family. Low key experience. Got to pet kangaroo and it's well worth it to splurge and pet lemurs.

The pricing is steep as you pay for parking and admission but the shows are worth it. Seeing tigers, baby monkeys, Wolves and a cougar up close was amazing.

Florida native here and haven't been to this place since its relocation and name change and man was I in for a sad experience. The animals seemed stressed in small enclosures that were not clean. Every exhibit made the experience more and more horrifying especially seeing how sad all the animals were (very obvious). One of the parrots in the... More

What a unique experience, we enjoyed a VIP Jungle Island encounter with a immensely knowledgeable guide Ryan. The encounter included feeding an Alligator, Playing with lovable, rambunctious lemurs and engaging with a century old tortoise.

My ten year old son and I visited Jungle Island. We had just visited Zoo Miami the prior day and Jungle Island was a total rip off and let down. After paying for parking and entrance fees, we had paid more than DOUBLE what we paid for at Zoo Miami and it's a fraction of the size. The layout of... More

We only visited because we had an online voucher code (wouldn't have been worth the $$ otherwise), and because we were looking for something suitable for children, to fill in the day. It really was just average, hot and a bit depressing... Gift shop was nice though.

We were going to go to the Miami Zoo but went to Jungle Island instead. This is a great zoo if you have children as there is a lot of interaction with the animals here . There is a petting zoo. You can hold baby monkeys and pet Kangaroos. Pose with beautiful parrots and for a fee, even a tiger... More

Because of the small footprint of the park, my expectations were low. However, I was pleasantly surprised--particularly with the interactive exhibits. I was impressed that guests could enter the kangaroo enclosure, for example. They sell food at the entrance to feed the animals which really excites the children. The park was well staffed and has a lot of green space... More
