We saw this island from the causeway. It is a place where wealthy people can live right on the water. Restricted entrance. Some lovely buildings.

Palazzo del sol-luna and palazzo del mare run by Marquis are falling in pieces, lot of deficiencies that residents don't know about, they look good from the outside but very poor maintain by Management.Buildings in Hialeah are 100% in a better shape.

Fisher Island is a truly exclusive place to visit, unless you're a service or construction worker.

We were invited by a friend of a friend who's lived here for 25 years! One MUST be on the visitor's list to gain passage on the Fisher Island ferry and then have a resident escorted one around. We visited with our adult children, sister, and niece/ nephew. Given that it was mid-summer and hotter than usual, most residents were absent at this time of year.

Our resident toured us about in 2 golf carts, the expected transportation mode, and showed us detailed walkthroughs of various sites including the Vanderbilt Mansion, Spa Internazionale, the Beach Club, the marinas, and local residencies.

Our host's home, like most homes here, was elegant and extravagant and very neat and clean.

We enjoyed a terrific lunch at the Beach Club and biked or beached in the scorching sun most of the day.

Sadly, getting here is unlikely for most folks, enjoy the photos attached and ask questions if you dare.

The Fisher island is a millionaire's playground and home. It's a small island just across the Miami Beach South point park. I don't know if you can visit it as it's accessible only by boat, nor I didn't see any tours, neither I'd take one if they existed.
We took a look from the top deck of our cruiser when sailing out, as it passes just beside it - fancy apartment blocks with private pools and beaches.

Used to live there, I enjoyed how close to everything you can be but at the same time far away from traffic and noise. A little paradise in the middle of the city.

Construction of Fisher Island began in 1919 when Carl G. Fisher, a land developer, purchased the property from businessman and real estate developer Dana A. Dorsey, southern Florida's first African-American millionaire. It is the land of the rich and famous and the rich and anonymous. The price to live here is beyond the grasp of most, however, the hotel is within budget with your Black Card. Accessible only by ferry boat, it is an amazing place to experience!

This place is beautiful. It's a real escape but the challenging part is finding a way to get access to it.
