People watching is a great pastime in Miami's South Beach, which draws celebrities and beautiful people in skimpy swim attire to see and be seen. The wide and fine, white sand-covered beaches are popular spots for fashion photo shoots, so you're sure to see models. The area is known for its hip clubs and wild nightlife as well as numerous excellent restaurants.

South Beach has become a tourist trap with bad food and expensive valet parking. Once a hip place - no more!!

I have not been here for several years and the change is dramatic. The scenery is still great but the hucksters from all the restaurants wrecks the beauty of it. The Art Deco buildings with the lighting and people watching is still fantastic. The women dress to the T's. The men not so much. After we walked 15 blocks down... More

It is so relaxing on a sunny day although it does usually get very busy from mid morning onwards. We were usually around 9th and enjoyed... More

It is the best location to stay when you go to Miami. The best beaches, restaurants, bars, expositions are there. Don't miss South Pointe Park and Lincoln Road.

South Beach - as well as mid beach - are beautiful stretches of beach along a boardwalk. If you go to Miami Beach, you will likely make your way here at some point. If you are here during a spring break or busy time, you may want to opt for the slightly less crowded, but equally nice, midbeach about a... More
