We are a small Garden, just 2.6 acres, with a very big mission! We call ourselves an urban oasis in the middle of the glitz and neon of South Beach, a place where locals and visitors can come and enjoy the numerous cultural and artisitic programs that the Garden has to offer. Created as a Miami Beach city park in 1962, the Garden was rejuvenated in the fall of 2011 with a $1.2 Million landscape renovation by acclaimed South Florida landscape architect Raymond Jungles. We invite you to discover the new features of the Garden – a wetland with red mangrove and pond apple trees, an expansive water garden with cascading oolite fountain, a welcoming entrance plaza, and diverse collection of flowering trees, palms, cycads, orchids, bromeliads and Florida native species.

The botanical garden is probably my favorite place to go relax and meditate. I feel out of Miami and into a different dimension as soon as I lay on the grass. It is amazing and I can't wait to go to enjoy a day there soon :)

This is a great place to stop and take a breather in between shopping, dining, and other Miami Beach activities.

Lovely gardens with lots of interesting plants ( and butterflies ) Our visit was very good but made excellent by a part time guide ( wears a monarch butterfly hat ) - he gave us so much interesting information about the gardens and the plants - he had so much enthusiasm and knowledge we couldn't fail to enjoy. Absolutely brilliant.

It is free to enter and enjoy the various trees and plants. We didn't notice a lot of flowers. However, there is a great assortment of trees and plants. It is relatively small so your visit won't last too long. Nevertheless, it is a nice place to visit and to get away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach.

We had our wedding here this past weekend, and it was honestly perfect! The gardens offer the perfect space, with enough room for guests to spread out and explore the gardens, while still being intimate. Maurice, the garden's event coordinator, is a dream. He really goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for you. All of the... More

We are so glad we stopped to visit this place. It is small but doesn't feel small when you are inside. They utilized their space so well that it gave us Ideas for our yard! There is ample seating that is private if you want to read or just sit quietly. As well as an open area that families were... More

We were looking for a nice little diversion from the South Beach scene and this was it. A very tiny little park, we got there an hour before closing as they set up for a big wedding. Just behind the Holocaust Museum which we had done on a different trip, it only takes about 15 minutes to see the whole... More

I visited this secluded preserve on a Sunday in February when all around was construction, cranes and highway. While walking through the Japanese gardens, I was gifted with a butterfly landing on the flowering tree 6 inches away from my head! Since I always have my camera on me, of course I grabbed the opportunity! While about 3.5 acres, the... More

Small but charming, restful, beautiful. As a Monarch Butterfly lover from the North I was overjoyed to see pairs of Monarchs flitting about and caterpillars munching on Tropical Milkweed. The Japanese Garden is small but lovely. A nice Oasis in the middle of a bustling town!
