This portion of Miami Beach offer you less congested beach areas, is you are looking for a more relax oriented beach day, worry free about who's around or just feeling too cramped as some other locations.

If you want to avoid the crowds of most the Miami area beaches then go to Surfside. The dune placement makes this a more secluded area. Stroll along the pedestrian and bike paths nestled between the dunes and the closest resorts.

We are staying in Surfside and this beach is about 100 yards from our door. Thereare a few public access points along Collins Avenue. The beach is very clean and the water clear. Not a lot of parking available, more towards northern Surfside.

My fiance and I stayed at the Solara on 88th St, and we walked up and down the entire area, amazed at such beauty and tranquility - a far cry from the crazy atmosphere of South Beach. Uber is worth it, and we utilized the...More

Yes, most of the beach is still lined with large buildings but this is a far less honky tonk portion of the Miami shoreline. I thoroughly enjoyed my jog and swim. There are actually dual walking paths so that you never really have to worry...More

This is what I prefer. Ships and boats passing by while taking a bath. In addition there is a path for walking and cardio training.

We visited this beach a couple of weeks after a hurricane was in the area. Even though the beach didn't get a direct hit there was some beach erosion. Beach chairs and umbrellas are usually available but were not out because of the beach repair...More

Wide beach tree lined beach, accessible water. Great for swimming, sunning, walking. Metered parking (may be difficult to find at popular times.)

This beach is quite nice with it's long sandy beach and clean waters! The only thing I missed was toilets and some sort of café along the beach!

I don't believe so. However, the park that makes up the south end of the beach at Surfside (the North Shore Open Space Park) runs 10 blocks long between 79th and 88th Streets and has plenty of trees. You can find many... More
