It was interesting. Spent an hour 15 minutes here. Leanne was very nice and informative. She was helping the owners out while they were on vacation. Some of the enclosures looked like they needed a good cleaning. Not sure if that was because the owners were not there or if it is always like this. It did smell inside though the reptiles seemed to be taken care of. Reasonable entrance fee.

My little ones enjoyed watching the animals especially the big snakes and alligators. They love to see the moving gators and snakes. Kids really enjoyed it as they are always watching it on tv on national geographic. Their first time to see them that close. So much fun for them. Worth the trip!

Some people are zoo people, some are not. If you are not, do not go to a zoo. This is a zoo 6 or so KM off the beaten path. Worth a turn off the highway? Yes! Worth the price of admission? Yes!. It is very cool to see some of the worlds most dangerous animals. Reptiles are what they have and a ton of knowledge about them.

Have been wanting to check the reptile gardens out for a while my 2.5 year old loved it. We spent about an hour and fifteen minutes. Children under three are free and adults where 8 dollars each well worth it and probably will be back next year. There was turtles you can buy food for if you have a quarter. The gift shop had a lot of stuff at a good price. Recommended for all ages. It is smelly but I think that’s to be expected

If you care about the treatment of animals stay away. This was an awful and to be honest, upsetting experience. The reptiles were kept in inadequately sized "enclosures" and were filthy. The lady told us they were a couple of days behind on their cleaning schedule, but the stench was foul. In my opinion they should have been closed and waited to open til they were up to date. The animals health and welfare should be priority. One burmese python was swimming in a stagnant pool of "Water" that was filled with its own faeces. There was so much mess in the water it was hard to tell where the snake was. The crocodiles and alligators seemed to be in far to small a space with very little water, and certainly no space to swim. The air was thick in the whole building and it was difficult to breathe. The stink was absolutely overwhelming towards the enclosure with a gator and lots of turtles. We saw dead giant cockroaches in their enclosure. Although the lady there seemed very pleasant, she said that only she looked after the place, her husband helped on weekends and a volunteer came some evenings. This seems completely inadequate for a "collection" this size. I cannot believe that this is a Manitoba star attraction and am appalled that this place is even allowed to be open. It is dreadful.

Visited the site in Jul 2013. If you can find the place, you will be greeted by a junkyard with multiple out-buildings that require maintenance. If you have any breathing problems do not go inside. Once inside the reptile building, your lungs and immune system are put to the test with a very strong "dank" odour of ammonia that permeates your clothing and skin. Low lighting adds to the dungeon like atmosphere. The animals look pathetic and lethargic in their dark undersized pens with dirty water. I have seen a few reptile shows and displays and nothing came close to this. I am not sure this operation would be legal is investigated closer.

I am not an expert on animal welfare but a crocodile in a small cement pool(which is by the way full of muddy stinging water) , smaller than its length should not be happy . The water in some of the turtle aquariums is so dirty that you cannot see the turtle.
Either all of the snakes are changing their skins at the same time or nobody cleaned their cages for a very long time!!

This place is more like a creepy reptile dungeon or prison than gardens. It's dark, smelly, and depressing. The enclosures are tiny and dirty. There were dead whole bunnies in many of the enclosures, which was pretty unsettling. There were 21 bearded dragons in one tiny aquarium. This place was poorly maintained, depressing, and creepy.

We went to visit this attraction today. Who cares about their yard? It is the reptiles you are going to see isn't it? Anywhere that has to be heated to 80 degrees year round with high humidity is bound to smell a little. The exhibits were exceptional. The price was excellent. The staff was very informative. No where that I know of has so many species in one location at the same time. I would recommend this day trip to anyone.

This was the most disgusting reptile garden ever! The moment we opened the door to enter the decrepid building a terrible stench enveloped us. The smell was of stagnant water and death. There is no ventilation so folks with respiratory issues stay away. The reptiles were kept in enclosures that had not been cleaned in quite some time (hence the smell). Some of the larger snakes seemed to be stressed. The Red Eared Slider turtles were in an enclosure with a larger gator. There were way too many turtles for the size of pond. The gator took up most of the pond. Floating in the water was a dead rabbit. I am sure this was food but together with the smell it created a less than desirable effect. There was so little space that the turtles had to clamour over each other in the water. Safe yourself the money and stay away. Or better yet go and witness this mess for yourself and then contact an animal abuse agency and get this place cleaned up.
