We rented a house very near the entrance to the National Park and had National Parks Senior Passes so we visited almost every day we were there. It is great for biking, exploring, fishing and a variety of activities. The beach is outstanding. It's totally "natural" and unostructed for about 6 miles. The visitor center and Eldora State House are... More

This is a pleasant nature walk. this is for those who like to see a little of the natural environment with a little history. this is not a serious hike or long outing. Just a nice leisurely walk. Stop and watch the butterflies, look at the plants, enjoy nature.

Turtle Mound is a historic mound built by the Timucuan Indians some 500 years ago as they piled up oyster shells into a mound/hill after eating the oysters. It is about 60 feet in elevation and provides a wonderful view of the area - the ocean, the Inland Waterway and even views south to see Cape Canaveral in the distance.... More

Canaveral National Seashore is simply beautiful. Very few people on the beach. A well hidden secret. We went through various different areas of the park and spent the afternoon on the beach. We loved it so much that we went back a few days later and spent the whole day at the beach.

You can visit the middens in just a few minutes. Interesting to read about how and where the Timucuan lived for thousands of years.

My husband & I enjoyed the quiet, peaceful areas of the park. The only regret we had is that there is not enough parking at the last 4 areas so we were not able to get out and explore and see the southern parts of the park.

I cycle here quite a bit. There are some attractions there to check out. You can launch your boat or fish from the shore

The turtle mound is the historic attraction in the area. The information center is nearby. Native Americans once inhabited the area and left behind some artifacts in the mound.I visit the park every winter when I am here.
