There is a lot of walking on bridges that take you to "the dunes". The dunes aren't that impressive. The landscape is'nt either.

Definitely caters to the dog owner, with large sand access to the shore away from the boardwalk. Several stairways also give access to the beach on either the inlet side and the ocean side. Cars do drive up the beach area from the NSB Beach access areas, and the water is considered dangerous with rip currents.and the ocean, but very... More

My family loves this place. Here we can enjoy all the beach has to offer with our dog. Depending on where you go you can have calm waters or waves. There are lots of dunes to explore (on the marked paths) and some wildlife. There is not much shade so some may find the walk to the farther beaches uncomfortable.

A great place for families and not-so-agile beach lovers. This park welcomes you with knowledgeable volunteers that are eager to give you the insights of where to go. There are boardwalks that are handicap accessible for a 1.5 mile trek through the natural habitat of cranes and wild tortoises. The boardwalk also has access to the Atlantic side beach, and... More

This great park has something for everyone. Be sure to look for turtles as you walk the board walk. You can have fun with your dogs in the park, but pay attention to the rules about where you can take them at various times of day. Enjoy the beach and the lighthouse view, and record your wildlife observations on the... More

This is a beautiful park and beautiful area. Our condo overlooks it. They have a lot of trails which are wooden bridges throughout the dunes. We have seen huge turtles and even snakes. Very nice. Lighthouse is right across the bay.

This is a great place to spend a playful afternoon splashing around in the sea with our four legged friends. Not sure who had more fun, them or us but we will definitely be back again soon!

My family visited Smyrna Dunes for the first time last week, and we plan to go back frequently. What a great outing! We enjoyed a pleasant walk along the boardwalk, spotted lots of plant life and insects, and even discovered a gopher tortoise. We enjoyed watching some surfers catching waves and running along the beach. We'll come back when we... More
