So glad we went here as the starting point for a beach day! Parking was easy and the board walk paths through the park were awesome. The beach was the quietest and most beautiful we found during spring break. My husband was concerned the dog friendly beach would be dirty but NOT AT ALL. The dogs were such an interesting,... More

The boardwalk is 1 3/8 miles with many places to sit and look at the beach! Also can see turtles! There are pink ribbons where the turtles nest!

The park is on a peninsula with plenty of beach area. Dogs are allowed on the inlet side beaches. There are elevated walk ways that are well maintained as well as sandy paths that follow them for dog walking. The entrance fee is $10 but we purchased an annual pass for $20 that allowed us access to 2 different parks.... More

We went for a family dog walk in the morning around the boardwalk. I usually go running here on our annual visit to my mother-in-law and love the amenities: restrooms, drinking fountain and outdoor showers. I like the access to the beach. This time my daughter enjoyed playing Pokémon Go. There were Pokestops all around the park so she was... More

What a wonderful park with a great boardwalk trail! Our daughter and grandson loved the side trails down to the ocean as well! We saw lots of tortoises and wild flowers! A wonderful place to take pictures and enjoy nature!

A really nice park in March, not too crowded. We don't have a dog ourselves, but did not mind that it is dog friendly. The vast majority of dog owners were very responsible and thoughtful about others - it was nice to see people enjoying the ocean with their dog friends. Dunes were beautiful, nice view of the lighthouse across... More

This beach is well cared for and visited by thoughtful, friendly folk. All the beaches in this area charge $10 for access. This beach is not car accessible, there is a long boardwalk approach to the beach which is narrow or nonexistent at high tide in some places. It is located at the mouth of the river so fishing is... Only at Smyrna Dunes Park, where the beach is free, but parking is not, are dogs allowed on New Smyrna Beach. However, all 4-legged friends must be leashed while on the beach or boardwalks so it's not really a dog park/beach, just a dog-friendly one with pet shower facility and fresh water for pups. For 2-legged visitors, it's a beautiful... More
