Nokomis Beach is a great place to watch the sunset. There are Drum Circles on some evenings, drumming the sun to set. People dance, twirl hula-hoops, flags, etc. and just have a great time with the beat of the drums.

You can see forever looking west into the sunset. Great for singles & families too. Picnic tables, washrooms, easy access to the beach, arrive by bike or car.

Simply a stunning beach--gorgeous views, minimally populated, and very friendly residents. Watching everyone come to enjoy the sunsets was nearly as moving as the views.

Like a lot of folk we've met, we stumbled onto Nokomis years ago and had the type of visit where I lost track of time and could not have cared less...We return whenever we can.... The beach is very clean and we've never seen it crowded.....

The beach here is full of shells, it is a nice beach with lots of free parking. It was not crowded when we were there.

Single lane roads and frequent drawbridge delays but great island feel. Pops retaurant just before bridge is great. Sand is not white crystal but nice. Worth a visit unique feel. Great picnic tables at boat ramp.

Nokomis beach is a nice little beach! I think this beach is a shellers paradise. There are so many shells in areas that you will need some type of shoe otherwise your feet could get hurt. The facilities here are very nice and easily accessed. There are life guard stations but I'm not sure if they are staffed all year.

We love Nokomis Beach. It's not the pristine white beach sand so if you're looking for that go to Siesta Key. Wednesday night's there are drums at sunset which is pretty cool! Fun for all ages. Great for hunting sharks teeth.
