Though I certainly am aware and understand that nature dictates the type of wildlife one sees, I was a little disappointed we didn't get to see anything really different than one would see from the beach on Sanibel. The boat ride was pleasant enough, and was a nice something to do for our family. Just don't go into this expecting... More

We took the half day morning trip to Cayo Costa Island in April with Pam Rambo from the I Love Shelling blog/website. Looks like they offer 1 of these a month. We had perfect weather. We left the marina at 9:00 and returned around 12:00. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the island from the marina so we... More

It truly was a cheeseburger in paradise! Loved the boat ride, the dolphins and our guide. I highly recommend this if on Sanibel!

We booked a private sunset cruise for my extended family, ages 10-63. The captain, George and first mate, Kevin, could not have been more wonderful, accomodating, and fantastic! They asked questions about what we wanted to do and made it happen. We opted for a trip to a private beach to shell and swim and then sail for an hour... More

This was our second opportunity to take this 4 hr cruise to Cayo Costa and again thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Easily made the reservation online. On this second trip we took two of our teenage grandchildren who also enjoyed the cruise and the collection of plentiful shells on the island. Hoping to have the opportunity to see dolphins riding the... More

We had 2 great trips with Captiva Cruises. The first was a cruise to Pine Island where we had a nice lunch at Tarpon Lodge then a walk to the Randell Research Center to Learn About the Colusa native culture that thrived for 5000 years, which I'll do another review for. The best part though of the trips were our... More

Had a wonderful time on a trip to Cabbage Key. Took our twins - who are 6 and 10 year old. Boat is awesome. The tour guide was super informative and funny. There is a bar and snacks for the ride to and from cabbage key. Bathrooms were so clean - I mean better than most public ones on land.... More

We went on the Dolphin and Wildlife Adventure which is narrated by the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation and departs South Seas Island Resort at 4-5:30pm. They really make an effort to locate dolphins and even go out of their way if one is spotted to see if they will follow the boat. Manatees can be spotted in the marina so... More

We took this cruise from Captiva to Cabbage Key as a way to pass a cloudy day, and it turned out to be a wonderful decision. It was easy to find the parking lot and dock inside South Seas Plantation, and from that point on we were in the capable hands of the crew of the Lady Chadwick. The cruise... More
