Visited this and the graveyard beside, interesting history, but was disappointed that the church was locked mid morning, so unable to visit inside!

I would say the best part of this spot is reading the gravestones in the cemetery. We did see two snails slithering together on a bench dedicated to a couple which gave us a great moment to remember but overall there's nothing really going on here. You see an old building.

I decided to visit this Chapel before I left Captiva Island. This a very beautiful and peaceful place to come reflect on your life for a few moments. I enjoyed my visit.

A picturesque spot on Captiva. Wander the grounds and cemetery. It gives one a different perspective of what life was like back in the early days.....and it also makes ME yearn for a time of less traffic!

Beautiful chapel located on the beach- we stumbled across it and thought it was adorable! I could see weddings being amazing there!

We stayed in a house in Sunset Captiva and the walkway to the beach takes you right by the Chapel. I explored it one day and it was breathtaking. The doors were open and I was able to go inside. It was very peaceful and serene.

We visited chapel by the sea and the chapel's cemetary. We read with interest about the beginning of the chapel many, many years ago as well as it's evolution to an active house of worship today. The church was so quaint. It smelled old and we could imagine the first settlers of Captiva praying there every Sunday. We were surprised... More

Surely worth a short visit to say a prayer of thanks for your blessings & absorb the simplicity & charm of this small chapel steps from the beach. FYI, on Christmas Eve, hundreds of folks attend service here, the majority of them standing outside w/colored lights strung overhead. A special place....

It was nice to find this hidden gem! A beautiful chapel tucked away among the houses of Captiva. We were not able to attend a service but walked around the grounds.
