Rented a kayak and went down and back up the river. The peaceful ride and the wildlife made it very much worth the effort.

If you Kayak this river, look out for alligators. In January, the alligators areleast active & slow moving. You may not have to worry about an attack. This lazy river has a marked 5 mile run with little current. It could easily take you 4...More

This was our second time taking our kayaks down the Silver River. Although we did not see manatees here, others did. We did see monkeys, alligators and tons of birds, turtles and fish.

This is is a beautiful place, great for kids, friends and families. You can take the boat ride, and look through the glass bottom. Mostly its so healing to just stare at the blue water.

The "theme" park in itself is a it outdated (since it was bought by the state), but it's still a great place to visit. I highly recommend you take the glass bottom boat tour. It's super cheap, but unlike anything else you will experience.
