True wildness in Florida. Spotted more than 5 very cute deer, a dozen gators in a pond, red shoulder hawk sitting right beside us. Animals come around at sunset. Will try camping there next time!

This is Florida's largest state park. This takes me so close to nature. Be prepared with water and refreshments during hikes.

Camping here for 7 days in January. Make reservations early. If very remote area is what you are looking for, this is the place. Miles of hiking and horse back riding trails.

No special reqs at regular camp sites, but the astronomy pad sites request you keep lights low as much as possible. Check with ranger station for details.
