This was an outing for a group from our 55+ community - but it is well suited for any age group. We parked at the EDC on Division Avenue for a bird-watching/nature talk on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning. A bit late for "real" bird watching, but we still had the opportunity to see Ospreys, Turkey Vultures, Anhinga's, Herons, etc.... More

Having been born and raised in New York City, the name Central Park creates expectations. CP in Ormond is a miniature of the CP in NYC. Yet it's got a rustic charm. There are picnic areas, nature walks, ponds and now a Nature Center. Overall, it's a very nice place to visit for a peaceful lunch or walk. There is... More

The park is a great place to stroll. There is a labyrinth, that is great for meditation. Hiking trails & exercise stations.

The feel of old time Florida, unspoiled and natural. They did a wonderful job connecting the 5 lakes, great for kayaking/canoeing in general but especially for beginners in need of confidence. There is no current to contend with, you are not far from shore at any given time, there are no sharks. Alligators ? well, maybe, this IS Florida (My... More

As you walk around the single 0.6 mile trek there are two bridges and at one end the turtles gather in the afternoon sun to sun themselves on the low lying limbs that extend out over the water. There is a toilet facility with a water fountain on the outside and plenty of parking. For the sports minded there is... More

This series of parks offer ample parking at various locations. The parks all have water (man made lakes) as most are remains of long ago abandoned coquina pits - from which many local roads where paved "long ago." Parks amenities include: miles of paved trails, children's play areas, grassy areas for picnics even a mediation labyrinth to walk "around." These... More

We arrived after going around several blocks to find the parking lot. There was a person sitting in her closed car on a very hot day engine off that was a little disturbing. The grass was several days late in being mowed (maybe a week) and the trail around the lake was sand/gravel (not paved as expected). The trail was... More

It is hard to believe this beautiful spot is smak-dab in the middle of Ormond Beach. Amazing walking trails, gazebos and benches. If you are up for an inner journey check out the Labyrinth and don't forget to stop and smell the roses along the way.
