We kayaked today and it was absolutely beautiful. Quiet, peaceful, perfect. Did a little fishing and found a small beach to stop at and hang out. Would recommend!

We just went for the day to go kayaking and hang out. The campground area by the creek is absolutely gorgeous and we will have to go back to camp sometime. Nice sized spaces. We went on a Monday and there was only 1 person camping! So, if you go during the week you will pretty much have the place... More

In October it was my 4th time visiting Fisheating Creek. This weekend getaway has become a tradition among a group of our friends and their families. Check the weather report before going. During this trip in October, the weather was warm during the day. In the evenings, while sitting around the campfire it got cool enough for a jacket. A... More

Wonderful place to stay and enjoy the creek and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful surroundings, well maintained. Staff (Darcy/Brooke/Dwayne) was relaxed, friendly, knowledgeable of area and conditions.

We just wanted to camp outside with our kids, 4 families and wanted a safe enough place with plenty of wilderness and the safety of a cabin for the young ones (and some old ones) if they freaked out. This place is absolutely perfect, The cabin allows for 4 (And then some), to sleep if you are not so fond... More

I've been wanting to do a "real" Florida Swamps kayak trip for over 2 years. This is it. I was scared, but I wanted to do it more than that. You need to know how to operate a kayak and be comfortable.. You go through some mangrove forest areas where you think. This Must Not Be Rhe Eifht Way, but... More

First off, this was our 2nd time canoeing F.E. Creek. The first trip, we launched from the base camp. Plenty of people enjoying the creek, but still quite tranquil (except for several idiots--some adults, mostly teenagers--navigating recklessly in their motorboats). Aside from that, we had a WONDERFUL experience--plenty of cypress trees, birds, turtles, and a small gator or two. We... More

We traveled the creek in a Jon boat. Viewed lots of alligators and birds. Absolutely worth the trip. Great place to take pictures.

I regularly visit Fisheating Creek at least once per season. It is an absolutely beautiful cypress forest full of wildlife, beautiful views and quiet. Many times after I leave the campsite area and walk down to the river I never see another soul until I return. The woods have deer, wild hog, turkey, florida panthers, hundreds of species of birds,... More
