Visited Shell Island for a day of quiet relaxation, sun soaking and shelling. Great place for a family outing if you like the beach and water. Nothing else to entangle your day. Took a ten-minute boat shuttle from St. Andrews State Park (about $18. p/p)...More

The water was beautiful here and so clear. Would definitely recommend a trip to Shell Island if you are in Panama City.

I have visited shell island as part of a guided tour and with a small group on our own. Nice place to visit. Be sure to bring water and snacks as there is nothing commercial on the island. It is a beautiful place.

Definitely lives up to it's name. Shells galore! Clean, peaceful, large enough that it never seems crowded. Beautiful birds and tide pools. I wish I had gone every day I was in PCB.

Took the Sea Screamer over there and the guides were excellent. We snorkeled, seen dolphins and really enjoyed Shell Island. Me and my husband took a short walk down the beach and found some shells.

Be ready to hike for a while to get decent shells. A rolling cooler is a pain and will just sink in the sand, try to pack light as possible. There were some dolphin sightings also. Im assuming you need to be on the first...More

Shell Island is a fun visit but there are no services. IF you take a tour boat, the boat may have cover and facilities. We found some shells but no more than we found on the beach at our condo. Take food, water, sunscreen and...More

We swim there as well. Beautiful area! You can take your pets there too. It is not really a party area like you see at Lake of the Ozarks in Party Cove. Mostly family oriented area with people with kids having a nice... More

I don't believe you can, it's part of the state park and you can't take them on the state park beach
