Went to shell island on a tour boat this time. Only had about 45 min to explore, needed much longer!!! Such a cool place to visit!! I would recommend taking the taxi/ferry or renting a pontoon for the day so you have plenty of time...More

We took a private charter to shell island. They took us to the end that isn't a major drop off point for the ferry. There were nice shells there and it wasn't crowded. Our children enjoyed this.

I don't believe you can, it's part of the state park and you can't take them on the state park beach

you either have to have your own boat or rent a pontoon boat
