Fun Family Outing

Had a fun time out with the family. The staff and volunteers who run the trains were very friendly and helpful, and everyone enjoyed the experience.

Visited with 2 young kids who are train mad and they loved the short train ride and looking around some of the old trains and the model railway.

We went to the Thomas the Train event during our spring break. It was worth the drive and the money. The children really enjoyed themselves. It was well organized. The workers even shared the history of some of the Train cars. The only downfall was all of the dirt while walking around. Our shoes were filthy when we left.

My grand-children love Thomas the train and his friends. When we learned that Thomas was coming to Parrish to the Florida Railroad Museum, we immediately bought four tickets for the 10 am train ride on Saturday. We arrived at 9 am, which was easy for us to do as we are only half an hour away from Parrish. At this... More

Took grandson to A Day Out with Thomas at the Florida Railroad Museum last Saturday. Nice for young kids to see "Thomas the Train Engine". This event comes to Parish once a year for 2 weekends. You can buy tickets online to ride the train with Thomas. They have other activities for the kids (including food vendors, story time, magic... More

Took my grandson who was visiting. He's always been afraid of trains because of loud whistles and ground shaking when sitting at tracks while they pass by. After walking around a bit and getting him on the train, we ended up spending a couple of extra hours and a 2nd ride. A must experience for kids - not too bad... More

He only comes once a year to Parrish but defintely worth the wait, for your kids at least. We parked across from the entrance but it's not a far walk so that wasn't so bad. Contrary to what the site posts about entry. You are able to get into the site without a ticket. You only need a ticket to... More

Interesting place that you can zip pretty quickly unless you take the train ride (we didn't). My 4 year old enjoyed walking around the old engines/cars - nice way to break up a day.
